Gwendolynn Heley 

Gwendolynn Heley has had a number of careers in several countries - Professional Ballet Dancer, Director of ‘Artemis Kunstcentrum Amsterdam’, centre for Performing Arts,  Academic Researcher (published PhD on Tradesmen in 16th century Newcastle upon Tyne), and then a Police Researcher. It all led to her becoming a full time (mostly self-taught) artist in 2013. Working in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, Chinese and Japanese and Western watercolour, chalk pastel and pencil, she draws and paints a wide variety of subjects, from local landscapes and animals, to Life Studies and portraits, to paintings inspired by history.
